Who We Are

Mission Statement

The mission of Community Center for Life is to save the lives of the unborn by educating, counseling, and helping restore men and women using God’s eternal truth and scientific principles. We are committed to helping all people respect life from conception.

Who We Are

Community Center for Life (CCL) is a non-profit, non-denominational, crisis pregnancy center in the heart of Gretna, LA. We were founded in 1995 by Dagmar Mueller, a Swiss missionary, and midwife. Dagmar had a vision for reaching women in the Greater New Orleans area with the message of God’s love and hope during a crisis pregnancy. Since our inception, we have been able to serve over 8,500 women.

Our services started simple, offering women one free visit with pregnancy testing, counseling, abortion education, and sex education. We have now expanded to offer each of our clients 5 different visits, plus the option to participate in our after-hours classes! Some of our free services include:

  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Confidential Counseling
  • Ultrasounds
  • Abortion Education
  • Prenatal and STD Education
  • Medicaid Applications
  • Physician, Adoption, and Housing Referrals
  • Baby and Maternity Supplies

Classes:

  • Prenatal
  • Parenting
  • Post-Abortion Healing
  • Mentoring

Community Center for Life is a 501(c)(3) organization. 100% of our funding comes from donations by churches, businesses, and individuals.
