As soon as I walked in my first time, I was amazed by how wonderful everyone was [at Community Center for Life]. I was scared and curious about everything. Every question I had was answered to the max. I never thought I could be calmed, but now everything seems like just a breeze. I thank everyone at CCL, and I appreciate everything that has been shown to me. I could never do it without you guys. -ER
You all were able to give me information about myself and my baby that can help keep us safe and healthy. -EC
I feel a better mind set about my pregnancy. I know I am responsible for my child and myself, and due to the center, I am at ease about having my baby. I feel comfortable here and I am happy about being a client and a part of this center and program. I look forward to my next visit here because I am excited about this new experience. -KD
The staff was encouraging and very helpful. They were nice, caring, easy to talk to, and easy to relate to. My counselor valued my opinion on certain issues and I appreciate that. They weren’t overbearing or pushy. – MO
You have helped me remember how important God is and how he does everything for a reason. You have made me feel more at ease with my pregnancy. – MP

The pregnancy center has made a drastic difference in my life because they helped me cope with my pregnancy and showed me that they are willing to help through this great blessing in my life. They have taken out the time to talk to me about my options and have set me up for a great pregnancy. -MG
I recently moved to Gretna and didn’t know I was pregnant. Not knowing town, and not knowing where to have the pregnancy test, I decided to look online. I found different places, but I chose to come here. My overall experience has been great. I felt welcomed and pampered. I know I can trust the staff because we are a family in Christ. Thank you for everything! -ER

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: How much will it cost to come to your center?
A: Every service we provide at our pregnancy center is completely free! We will never charge you for anything we do here!
Q: How accurate are your pregnancy tests?
A: Our tests are 97% accurate from the first day of your missed period.
Q: What if my test is negative, but I still think I’m pregnant?
A: We offer each of our clients the option to come back a week or so later for another free test. It’s possible that the hormone levels are not high enough yet for the test to detect a pregnancy. Otherwise, we will give you a referral to U.S. Bio Chem so you have blood work done. Blood work is 100% accurate.
Q: Do you take walk-ins?
A: Yes, we do – when our schedule allows it. However, our days fill up fast, so it’s best to call ahead for an appointment. If you walk-in and we do not have an opening for you, we will have to reschedule you for another day.
Q: What do I need to bring to my appointment?
A: Each client is responsible for bringing their photo ID, their social security card, and a proof of income. (Check stubs, medicaid card, or food stamp card. If you have none of these, your photo ID and Social Security card is all you need to bring.)
Q: Do you perform ultrasounds?
A: We do perform a limited number of ultrasounds. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer an ultrasound to each of our clients. If you would like to know if you are eligible to receive an ultrasound from us, please speak with your counselor during your first visit with us. If we are not able to perform the ultrasound for you we will be sure to refer you to a doctor who can.
Q: Are you a doctor’s office?
A: No. We are a pregnancy center. We do not have any doctors on staff at our office, however, we can always refer you to one of our trusted physicians.
Q: Do you perform abortions at your center?
A: Our focus at the center is to care for pregnant women and to help them have a healthy pregnancy. We do however, offer free abortion education which is required by the state of Louisiana a full day before a woman has an abortion. We will also be able to let you know how far along you are in your pregnancy so you will be able to know what kind of procedure you would need should you choose to abort. An abortion clinic will charge you for these services, but everything we do at our center is completely free to you because we care about you and want you to make the best decision for yourself and your baby without the added financial burden.
