FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: How much will it cost to come to your center?

A: Every service we provide at our pregnancy center is completely free! We will never charge you for anything we do here!

Q: How accurate are your pregnancy tests?

A: Our tests are 97% accurate from the first day of your missed period.

Q: What if my test is negative, but I still think I’m pregnant?

A: We offer each of our clients the option to come back a week or so later for another free test. It’s possible that the hormone levels are not high enough yet for the test to detect a pregnancy. Otherwise, we will give you a referral to U.S. Bio Chem so you have blood work done. Blood work is 100% accurate.

Q: Do you take walk-ins?

A: Yes, we do – when our schedule allows it.  However, our days fill up fast, so it’s best to call ahead for an appointment.  If you walk-in and we do not have an opening for you, we will have to reschedule you for another day.

Q: What do I need to bring to my appointment?

A: Each client is responsible for bringing their photo ID, their social security card, and a proof of income. (Check stubs, medicaid card, or food stamp card. If you have none of these, your photo ID and Social Security card is all you need to bring.)

Q: Do you perform ultrasounds?

A: We do perform a limited number of ultrasounds. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer an ultrasound to each of our clients. If you would like to know if you are eligible to receive an ultrasound from us, please speak with your counselor during your first visit with us. If we are not able to perform the ultrasound for you we will be sure to refer you to a doctor who can.

Q: Are you a doctor’s office?

A: No. We are a pregnancy center. We do not have any doctors on staff at our office, however, we can always refer you to one of our trusted physicians.

Q: Do you perform abortions at your center?

A: Our focus at the center is to care for pregnant women and to help them have a healthy pregnancy. We do however, offer free abortion education which is required by the state of Louisiana a full day before a woman has an abortion. We will also be able to let you know how far along you are in your pregnancy so you will be able to know what kind of procedure you would need should you choose to abort. An abortion clinic will charge you for these services, but everything we do at our center is completely free to you because we care about you and want you to make the best decision for yourself and your baby without the added financial burden.
